Fore Women was founded in 1909, under the name National Council of Jewish Women Los Angeles.
Fore Women helps women build financial stability, economic mobility and long-term opportunity. Through direct financial support, workforce development, career coaching and advocacy, the organization serves more than 2,500 individuals and families each year.
Fore Goods is a vital part of our mission, providing workplace training and employment opportunities, offering affordable goods without sales tax, and generating revenue that helps fund innovative programs supporting women and families. Fore Women is entering its next chapter with a continued commitment to investing in women because stronger women create stronger families, communities and economies.
Leadership
Marjorie Gilberg
Chief Executive Officer
Marjorie leads Fore Women’s strategy, programs, and advocacy to expand economic opportunity for women. She is guiding the organization through its rebrand while growing workforce development, direct support, and community partnerships across Los Angeles.
Nabila Dunbar
Chief Program Officer
Nabila leads Fore Women’s programs, ensuring alignment across direct services, workforce development, and advocacy. She strengthens program impact while fostering collaboration and keeping community voices at the center of the organization’s work.
Evie Shapiro
Chief Development Officer
Evie leads Fore Women’s fundraising efforts by building strong relationships with donors, philanthropic partners, and corporate supporters to move the organization’s mission forward.
Jill Sager
Chief RETAIL Officer
Jill leads Fore Women’s eight Fore Goods thrift stores, the Donation Center, ForeGoods.org online store, and eBay shop, overseeing operations that transform community donations into sustainable resources that support women and families across Los Angeles.
Elisa Morimoto
Chief OPERATING Officer
Elisa leads Fore Women’s operations, driving organizational excellence and supporting the teams, systems, and infrastructure that power the organization’s mission.
Sofiya Dubinsky

Sofiya provides strategic financial leadership that ensures Fore Women’s resources are managed responsibly and effectively to advance our mission.
