A New Path Forward
We all have dreams. Tina dreams of a career as a film editor. She wants to create a stable home for her 10 year-old son. She wants to build a life where they can both look ahead with confidence. But attaining a stable job has not been easy.

There was a season when Tina and her son experienced homelessness. For seven months, they lived in their car before moving into transitional housing. While rebuilding her life, another resident encouraged her to apply for Career MOMentum.
She decided to take a chance.
Creating the Future She Envisioned
Tina remains optimistic. When she talks about the future, she doesn’t talk about what she lost. She talks about what she’s building. Through Career MOMentum, Tina developed new job skills, gained work experience, and found something just as meaningful: a community that believed in her and reminded her she wasn’t navigating this journey alone.

Now Tina is attending LA Film School, sharpening her craft, and pursuing the career she’s always imagined. She and her son finally have a place to call home where they can put down roots, as she rediscovers parts of herself she thought she’d lost.
