After her daughter was born, Jazmine knew she needed a path forward. She knew there was more for her and her baby than just getting by. She wanted stability and the chance to build a better future for her family.
Jazmine enrolled in NCJWLA’s Career MOMentum, a hands-on job training program where she gained experience at The Council Shop resale stores while building professional skills and confidence. With guidance from career coaches, Jazmine discovered a new direction.
Today, thanks to support from our career counselor, she secured a job she loves as a teacher’s aide.
“With NCJWLA’s help, I could focus on school, find a career I love, and be there for my daughter. The support I received didn’t just help me. It’s helping the whole community.”
What began as a moment of uncertainty is now a foundation for generational change. When women are trusted and supported, they thrive.
