Overview

The Los Angeles Women’s Rental Assistance Program helps women stay in their homes during times of financial hardship.

The program provides short-term rental assistance to women who are the primary providers for their families and are facing an unexpected financial setback, such as a job loss, reduced work hours, illness, or another emergency. By helping cover a portion of monthly rent, the program gives families time to regain stability without the immediate risk of losing their housing.

When women have a safe place to call home, they can focus on caring for their families, returning to work, and building a more secure future.

Eligibility

• Head of household identifies as a woman.
• Must file taxes as Head of Household.
• Have qualified dependents living in the same household.
• Must be able to demonstrate proof of income.
• Demonstrate an unexpected financial hardship preventing rent payment and have a plan to maintain housing after assistance.

Please note that this program does not support payments of back rent owed or rental payments in arrears.
