Cash for Learning provides direct financial support to help women in Los Angeles County pay for tuition, books, certifications, job training, and other educational expenses.

Whether they’re returning to school, learning new skills, or preparing for a new career, Cash for Learning gives women the flexibility to invest in their future while balancing the needs of their families. Because when women have the opportunity to learn and grow, they build stronger futures for themselves and those who depend on them.

Eligibility:

  • Identify as female 
  • Current Fore Women program participant (received services in last 12 months) 
  • Must live in Los Angeles County 
  • Must have qualifying status for single or head of household tax filing with dependents. If you haven’t filed taxes in the last 12 months, provide alternate documentation as requested in the application 
  • Must be enrolled into a recognized or certified institution or program 
  • Programs must be 2-years or less (For example, associate’s degree, certifications, professional development programs). 4-year traditional and post-graduate programs are not eligible to apply. 
  • Prioritizing  80% Median Income in LA County based on household size 

Awards are determined by tuition-based tiers. Tuition costs up to $2,500 are covered at 100%. For tuition costs exceeding $2,500, the award is capped at a flat amount of $2,500.
